  • SummerSchool forms are now available in the Principal’s Office as well as theCounseling Office.  Please return to thehigh school office by May 21st.
  • Any A+ student who would like to tutor forSummer School, should sign up with the counselors before or after school.
  • There are a few extra Prom favors for salein Room 88.  Key chains are $2 and mugsare $5.  Please see Mrs. Everett if youwould like to purchase one.
  • Seniors-if you and your family still needto complete the FAFSA, visit the Educational Opportunity Center located at 3100Main Street, KCMO, 64111 (816-759-4400). You can receive individual attention to complete the FAFSA!
  • Good Samaritan is in need of volunteersthis summer.  If you are interestedplease call 630-2718 ext 26 or stop by the Center and fill out an application.
  • Yearbooks may still be purchased for $50in Room 88.  See Mrs Everett withquestions.
  • The Cappies Awards Gala is May 26that Blue Springs South High School.  Anumber of our Thespians and choir students are up for awards including BenNickols, Shawna Trusty, Tyler Fleming, and Laura Tompkins.  If you would like to attend the Cappies Gala,please be aware the tickets are available for $10 if purchased before May 21st.  If purchased after May 21st, thetickets will be $15.  Those who areinterested should have their pre-purchase ticket money in to Mrs. Foster by May21st.  There will be a busavailable for interested students to attend the Gala at Blue SpringsSouth.  Hope to see you there!
  • As of May 8th, there will be nomore negative lunch charges allowed. Students will be provided an alternative meal when their account isdeficient.  Students on the Free/ReducedMeal Plan will be limited to the regular meal and will not be allowed to chargesecond meals.
  • The Northland Therapeutic Riding Center(NTRC) currently has openings for both volunteers and riders.  Volunteers serve NTRC as horse leaders orside walkers.  Horse leaders should havehorse experience.  Volunteers who serveas side walkers do not need horse experience, but must be comfortable aroundhorses, as they walk beside students as they ride.  For more information about volunteeropenings, contact Lisa Keefe, Volunteer Coordinator, at 816-808-1106
  • There will be a meeting for any boy orgirl interested in playing tennis next fall and spring on Thursday, May 17th,at 2:30 in Room 82.
  • Interested in earning school credit forworking this summer?  Make plans toattend an informational meeting on summer school internship this Thursdayduring ELT in the Library.  Passes areavailable with Mrs. Houck in the library. Be sure to get a pass before ELT on Thursday so you can attend.
  • The State Parks Youth Corps is offeringsummer programs for Missouri students age 17-23.  If your age qualifies, and you are interestedin an outdoor summer job opportunity, visit MO.gov to learn more and apply.
  • Attention all Robotics Team Members!  Final cleanup of the Robotics building willbe this Friday after school from 3-5:00pm.
  • Baseball Players-uniform turn in will beThursday this week.  You will need toturn in all items and please be on time for this procedure!  Awards night will be Tuesday, May 22nd.  Players and coaches will be going to theT-Bones game at Community America Ballpark. The bus will leave at 5:00 for the 7:05 game.  Your ticket price is provided and you justneed spending money for food at the park. Thanks for a good season!!!
